Handful of Moonlight - Intro

From 2010 - 2013 I wrote several pieces with the intention to use them collectively as stand-alone chapters in a memoir. I submitted this one to the Surrey International Writer's Conference Writing Contest in 2013. It earned an Honourable Mention as runner-up in the Non-Fiction category and was published in the Conference Anthology for that year

Handful of Moonlight remains an anchor in the memoir that I may still write one day. I was honoured that the piece earned a mention in the writing contest I submitted to in 2013, and I'm grateful to share it with you now.
