but so flawed nonetheless.

love exists only as we can see it,

as only we can know it,

only where we give it,

as only we can show it.

love is only as patient and kind as we are.

it doesn't envy or boast if we don't,

but surely does if we do.

love is an individual experience

related directly to projections of ourselves.

we are each the center of its expression

and any capacity for it to be expressed.

if everyone loved with empathy

we'd have the peaceful world

Jimi's words imply.

but love can and does exist without empathy

and that's how and why

the love of power and things exists

so rampantly and even at all.

so yes,

i believe more deeply than ever

that if we really want

the world to know peace

we need much less love all around

and exponentially more empathy.
